ACTIVITIES
- The Rohideshwar temple on fort Rohida was in real bad shape. The temple walls had collapsed, and wooden beams supporting the temple had rotten due to rain and bad weather, roof top of temple was blown away.Raireshwar Pratisthan decided to reconstruct this temple and restore it.
- For this activity, we spread the news through newspapers and an appeal was sent to people. "Karseva" or "Shramadan" that is human labor was needed for this activity. We formed human chain that acted as the main tool using which we sent all material that was required for temple construction was carried from the foot of the fort to the temple on the top of the fort. Rohida fort lies 3621 feet above sea level. Hence, the challenge was to carry all the material to the top. Many trekkers and people in the age group of 20 years to 70 years came forward and contributed in this task.
- The work comprised of cleaning the old foundation of the fort, using and transporting stone bricks instead of normal mud bricks in building the temple, etc. Finally after painstaking efforts for nearly a year, the Raireshwar temple was reconstructed and the old glory of the fort was restored.-Also, solar lamps of 15watt have been installed on the Rohideshwar temple and at the entrance of the fort.
