Concept about Kille Savardhan Samiti or Fort Conservation

Our basic aim and purpose behind starting this movement is to restore our forts, reconstruct or repair them (if needed), and generate awareness amongst the villagers who live at the base of the forts to conserve the forts. We also need to attract attention of the State government (Government of Maharashtra) so that they too consider fort conservation activity as a serious affair.

Our objectives:

Organize the villagers and spread awareness about forts.
With the help of local villagers, carry out basic activities such as cleaning forts or clearing shrubs and unwanted plants on and around the fort area.
With the help of villagers and Gram Panchayat, display sign boards or map of the fort to guide visitors to the fort.
Carry repair work of the demolished monuments/constructions that exists on the fort.
Construct and erect flag poles to enable flag hoisting on Independence day and Republic day.
Construct statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the fort.
Clean water tanks or water reservoirs on the fort.
Carry tree plantation activities on the fort.
Plant trees that will suit the weather and soil condition on the fort.Construct safety railings on difficult rock patches.

We intend to begin our task with these basic objectives. We are confident that many more objectives will get added as time progresses and as we gain some experience in this task.
