Fort Raireshwar
INTRO
Raireshwar is situated in Bhor Taluka near Pune, India. Raireshwar has a temple famous for its historical importance.The temple is very old and of stone structure,But it was later re-constructed in 18thcentury.Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj took the oath of Hindavi Swarajya in this temple at the age of 16 in 1645 and then created history.Its said that he had cut his little finger and taken the oath by dripping blood onto the Shivling. There is a large portrait of Shivaji Maharaj and his friends inside the temple. Thus , Raireshwar can be considered as an important place in Maratha history.It is situated in between various hills and forts such as Kenjalgad. The temple is on a platue, which is full of beautiful flowers during monsoon.
The jangam was sent by Shahaji Maharaj. It is very beautiful place to visit during June to Feb. Distance from Pune is 82km. Pune -Bhor-56km. Bhor -Korle-20km. korle-raireshwar-6km. The people living are JANGAM. The main crop is wheat. They sell milkproducts. It has importance in Maharashtrian history.

Raireshwar temple was repainted and repaired.

Pratisthan raised voice against injustice being done on the local people of Raireshwar, that is, the Jangams. Jangams are the actual land owners on the Raireshwar plateau; their land was illegally transferred by a local politician from Bhor. Raireshwar Pratisthan exposed this injustice in the newspapers. Our efforts were paid off when the land was finally returned to the original landowners.

Water tank worth Rs.6.50 lakhs was constructed on the Raireshwar plateau.

Halogen lamps were installed on the plateau with financial assistance from the Janata Bank, Bhor. The required Generator set was funded by the Maharashtra Bank.

Ropes and safety railings have been installed on the rocky pathway to Raireshwar.

Social and cultural hall has been constructed from Khasdar fund.

Statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was built on the fort.

A temporary road has been constructed till Raireshwar under 'Rojgar Hami Yojna'.Solar lamps were demanded and fitted on the way to the fort with help from the Panchayat Samiti.

A 5km road worth Rs. 2.5 crore has been sanctioned by Sri Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil under 'Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna'.

Another road worth Rs.4.5 cores from Wai has been recently sanctioned under 'Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna'.
